Haji Basim is a solo, multi-instrumentalist, and prolific singer songwriter, who has created a new genre of acoustic music called, Urban Folk. Haji Basim has toured internationally over the last 3 years. He draws comparisons to such memorable acts as Richie Havens, Jack Jonson, and John Legend. With the vocal quality of Sting and Seal. Haji's past bills include Mieka Pauley, Dead Prez, Dwelle, and Ray Lamontagne.
